Public engagement begins

Businesses in Croydon, Kingston and Sutton gathered for a special Internet of Things (IoT) workshops to uncover challenges the boroughs faced to economic growth.

Digital Catapult partnership announced

The InnOvaTe boroughs (SLP) boroughs team up with innovation agency Digital Catapult on the InnOvaTe Project to develop IoT solutions that address relevant use cases for citizens and local businesses and to improve service provision, with the ultimate aim of delivering a multi-purpose IoT platform.

Funding award

The South London Partnership (SLP), a group of five boroughs, are awarded £4 million to create an Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring system to improve people’s lives through better transport, environment, health and other areas while also improving business retention and sustainable economic growth.
